These details are even more necessary if your driver's license does not use the Roman alphabet. 

Credit or Debit Card:

The credit or debit card is used for the deposit holds and for payments. but mostly credit cards are used for deposit holds with a minimum hold of $500 and another $100 for the minimum service hold for

  • Tour Rentals 
  • Pre-paid rentals

What is the Minimum age for the Budget Rental Car?

The minimum age requirements will change based on the locations; one needs to check them via the budget website. 

But generally, in most corporate rental locations, the 21–24 age range is accepted, and a $27 underage surcharge will be applicable for age verification. Persons who are of this age group won't be able to rent luxury cars, minivans, 12-passenger vans, specialty vehicles, full-size SUVs, or premium SUVs. 

  • For people with US (military or civilian) personnel with government travel orders, the minimum age is 18, and an underage surcharge will not apply. 
  • For people with US (military or civilian) personnel traveling without government order, the minimum age is 21, except for the States of Michigan and New York, and no underage surcharge will apply. 
  • If people with US (military or civilian) personnel travel for leisure, then an underage surcharge will apply for 25 years of age. 
  • For disabled people at corporate-operated locations, there won't be an underage surcharge. If any one of the renters or authorized drivers is over 25 years of age, if both of them are under 25, then an underage surcharge will apply.
